Worcestershire Long Covid Carers’ Advisor

Worcestershire Association of Carers has been supporting unpaid carers throughout the pandemic and is aware of the impact of COVID19 on them. With the increasing numbers of people with Long Covid, it’s anticipated many more carers will be providing longer term support and not receiving support for themselves.

Many will not recognise themselves as carers or acknowledge the impact of caring on them. For those already caring for someone with long term conditions, comorbidity or frailty, Long Covid is an additional caring responsibility to bear. Alongside their existing services, they have a Long Covid Carer Advisor, providing advice and support to those people who support someone with a diagnosis of Long COVID.

Support could range from supporting them to navigate Long COVID Services and accessing Long COVID information, strategies in supporting the person they care for, to managing day to day issues, managing their wellbeing, and accessing resources and peer support. The service covers the county of Worcestershire.

People can self-refer via the helpline Helpline: 0300 012 4272 Monday – Friday: 9am to 7pm Saturday 9am to 12pm
